Celebrating Blues and American Roots Music Every Tuesday. New Regional, National and International Artists featured every week.

Live Audience Broadcasted program over WUTC 88.1 Hosted by Award Winning artist, Jhett Black, and the Big River Blues Band

Foot-stomping rhythms, raucous slide guitar, and soulful gospel roots define the Southern Gothic blues of Jhett Black. Drawing from years on the road with folk-rock band Gleewood and a deep love of American roots music, Jhett blends the raw power of Lead Belly and Howlin’ Wolf with the dark storytelling of Johnny Cash and Nick Cave. A second-place winner at the 2022 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Jhett has earned international acclaim with his self-produced EP Roots, which held #1 on the Roots Music Report Blues Charts for four weeks, and his debut blues-rock album Babel, which spent twelve weeks in the top 10.

This show is recorded LIVE for WUTC 88.1 and broadcast at 10pm EST every Tuesday. Different guest artists and bands are featured each week from Japan to the Delta, all sharing their love for the genre.
