The Chattanooga Sheiks are Chattanooga’s newest old jug band, playing original hokum music alongside classic jug band tunes from the likes of Bo Carter, Mississippi Sheiks, Gus Cannon, Memphis Jug Band, and more. Comprised of Tony Tortora (tuba), Conner Vlietstra (fiddle), Nathan Shew (washboard), and led by Lon Eldridge (guitar, kazoo), the Chattanooga Sheiks can transform any stage into a 1920’s street corner. So throw some sawdust on the floor and get up out of your chair. The Sheiks are in town!
