Blue Cactus have developed a distinctly electrified twang that branches out effortlessly into folk, alt-country and psychedelic-tinged rock. Having released two records to critical acclaim, they have grown a cult following in the South and beyond, their introspective lyricism and blistering guitar techniques making the band potent in the studio and on stage. In addition to releasing their third studio album, 2025 will see Blue Cactus making their PBS debut on Shaped by Sound, a new series spotlighting North Carolina’s rich music heritage. Most recently, they were contributors to "Cardinals at the Window", an expansive compilation featuring REM, Gillian Welch, The War On Drugs, The Avett Brothers, Phish and more. In just the first week, the project raised over $310,000 for flood relief efforts in western North Carolina and celebrated a chart topping Billboard debut.
We look forward to having them back at The Woodshop.
